ABOUT US

0609-LWORSHIP-greeting.jpg

We strive to be:

Gospel-Centered: We believe that a right relationship with God comes through trusting Jesus Christ alone.
Reformed: We are connected to the church throughout history through the doctrines of the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms.
Presbyterian: Jesus is the head of the church; elected men known as elders oversee the life of the church.
Multi-Generational: Our church family is made up of people from all stages of life from newborns to seasoned citizens.

Our Denomination
We are members of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. More information about the EPC can be found here: https://epconnect.org/about/beliefs/

What We Believe
We are a reformed, confessional church holding to the Westminster Standards of Faith. You can find a modernized version of our confessional standards at this link: https://epconnect.org/about/beliefs/

These standards outline the major doctrines from Scripture that unite the Reformed Church down through the ages.

The Gospel Message

What is the Gospel?  The Gospel is God's good news of salvation as communicated to us in God’s Word, the Bible, through the story of creation, rebellion, redemption, and restoration.
Creation: God created the universe and made man and woman in his own image.
Rebellion: Adam and Eve, the first people, chose to disobey God's command, and in doing so, brought the whole creation under the curse of sin.
Redemption: No one is able to perfectly keep God's law, so God sent his very own Son, Jesus, to fulfill the righteous requirements of the law and to suffer the punishment for mankind's disobedience.
Restoration: Those who trust in Jesus are brought into new relationship with God. One day they will enter the new creation where God will dwell with his people forever.

What to Expect at KPC

GREETING
You will be greeted by friendly people at the front door as you make your way into the building. These people are stationed to serve you answering any question you might have.

WHAT DOES YOUR WORSHIP SERVICE LOOK LIKE?

A typical Sunday morning service lasts 60-70 minutes and includes prayer, responsive readings, singing hymns and praise songs, celebrating the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of the month, and the preaching of God's Word. Prayer is an essential part of our worship, as we seek God’s guidance, give thanks, and lift up the needs of our church family and community.

ARE THERE SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES?
We have classes for all ages. The older kids and adults meet in the sanctuary at 9:00AM for a Bible study typically led by Pastor Joe. Younger children gather in our kids’ room for their lesson.

DO YOU HAVE A NURSERY?
Nursery is available for infants up to age three during both the discipleship hour and worship service. We also love to have infants and small children in our worship service. Here at KPC, we love children and are delighted to see and hear them in the worship service. We want the worship of God to be a part of their lives into eternity and believe they learn best by being with their parents.

IS THERE A TIME OF FELLOWSHIP?
Every Lord’s Day, we have coffee and refreshments available in the fellowship hall between Bible study and the worship service. Bible study promptly ends at 9:45AM to give ample time for fellowship.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Sunday school starts at 9:00AM and the worship service starts at 10:30AM.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CHURCH?
You will find us in a range of attire, from Kingman casual to Sunday best. So wear what makes you comfortable.

WILL YOU ASK ME TO GIVE ANY MONEY?
As our guest, you are not expected to give anything. We are thankful that you chose to worship with us.

WHY SHOULD I COME TO KPC?
We are a community that worships and serves God together. Through the grace of God we have found KPC to be a place to call home.

WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS?
Great. We love questions about faith and church. We desire KPC to be a place where you can ask questions and get solid biblical answers. Pastor Joe and Pastor Grif are regularly available after the service and during the week to assist you however they can.
